Paderonisi Cavern

Located in the crystal-clear channel between Paros and Antiparos, and a 15-minute ride from our dive centre, Paderonisi Cavern is one of the most impressive underwater attractions in the Cyclades and a favourite destination for both scuba divers and freedivers. The cavern offers a unique combination of natural beauty, adventure, and accessibility, making it suitable for a wide range of experience levels. Three unique entry/exit points allow divers and freedivers to experience the cavern in different ways. The most popular route is in through the large, sunlit entrance, while a circular opening provides an exciting alternative exit. For experienced divers, a tunnel offers a more adventurous passage out of the cavern.

For scuba and freedivers, it presents an unforgettable opportunity to explore a vast underwater chamber illuminated by beams of sunlight filtering through the entrances. The excellent visibility, often exceeding 20 metres, allows divers to fully appreciate the scale of the cavern and the intricate stalactites that hang from the ceiling—remnants from a time when the cave was above sea level. Surfacing inside the air-filled chamber is a highlight of the dive, offering a chance to admire the cavern’s dramatic rock formations from a completely different perspective.

Whether experienced on scuba or on a single breath, Paderonisi Cavern offers a truly memorable adventure and is widely regarded as one of the premier underwater sites in the Greek islands.
